Graeftenhof Maine Coon Cats - Telgte

Here you find some very special cats of my cattery:

Fitzpaws Apache

Apache was our very first US import cat and came to us in the year 1994. I got him from Lynne Sherer, although he had not the cattery name Calicoon. His sire was Calicoon Sherman and his dam was Wynhaven Ariel. Apache gave a very special and similar look to our kittens over the time of 6 years together with his fantastic soft character. He also did not sprayed and often gave this wonderful attribut to his kittens. Unfortunately Apache died too young at the age of 8 of a fibrosarkoma.

Kavekats Gypsy Autumn

Gypsy was my second US girl. Gypsy was a very special cat for me, because of her incredible personality. Reffering to this she has only been seconded by her daughter Evening Blaze. You will find this wonderful nature today still in a several cats who include her lines in their pedigree. Unfortunately Gypsy looked in photos always a bit moderat, but effective this was not true. Together with Apache and Rocky she had some very nice kittens! Gypsy must be spayed in 2001 due to a pulmonary emphysema. In January 2007 I had to let her go forever, because of very quick growing lymphscarcoma.

Willowplace Kiowa Queen

Queeny surely is the most striking and popular of my US girls. Queeny arrived in Germany around one year after Gypsy in the year 1997. Queeny was and still is a dream! She looked exactly as I wanted to get and she was nearly perfect. I love her outstanding type as well as her gorgeous nature. Queeny had a low number of very nice kittens. With Fitzpaws Apache she had 2 litters and with Tanstaafl Copper Penny she had also 2 litters. Alltogether 8 kittens. To my great sadness I was not able to keep a girl from her for future breeding, because a pyometra in December 2004 made this impossible. Queeny died in Mai 2006 on a sepsis of hemolyzing streptococci.

Belushies Iroquois

Rocky, as we called Iroquois, was not imported from the United States. But we won´t him miss here, because he affected the look of our kittens over the time of 2 years importend. Except of this he is an offspring out of two Seascape cats, a cattery in the USA which does no more exist. Much to my delight Rocky throut out nearly always his great size and perfect ears to his kittens. But the "rest" was also fine. We had several very nice kittens from Rocky and I am more than glad that I have my Evening Blaze "Ivy" out of the only breeding together with Kavekats Gypsy Autumn from him. Unfotunately Rocky began to spray at the age of 3 years and lives now together with his breeder again.

Le Beau Minu Ocean Pearl

Pearly just lived a relative short time with us. Pearly was a very typey cat and she had a marvelous, nearly unique personality. She also had a wonderful pedigree, who contained mostly showlines, but nevertheless was low in the inbreeding analysis. Pearly had two very nice litters with Rocky. Much to my regret Pearly died all of a sudden shortly after her second litter, just 2 1/2 years old, by liver cancer.

Lunarcoons Suzannah

Sanna was born on 31.12.2002 in San Jose, California. Sanna came to me when she was already one and a half year old. A friend of me stopped breeding and I had the possibility to take this great girl in my breeding program. I was very happy that I had the luck to get Sanna. She is a very affectionate cat with a fantastic look. In my friends Cattery she had her first two litters with Tanstaafl Copper Penny and here she had one litter with Clevercoons Bearpaw. Early December 2008 we had to neuter Sanna after her second c-section. Sanna stays here with us as a neuter for the rest of her life.

Koontucky Native Vision

Robby came to us from the USA in 2008. His sire was Fogcity Machias and his dam Koontucky Skyla. Robby was a F4-Foundation and the boy with the most unique and marvelous personality I ever had. He simply was a dream. Robby had two wonderful litter with Graeftenhof Evening Blaze and Belushies Upper Class. Unfortunately he begans as the age of one year a) to spray and b) has been screened HCM mild. So we had no other chance than to neuter him. Robby now lives together with Mandy, a friend of us.

SSL Autumn Breeze

Breezy is a daughter to Tanstaafl Copper Penny and Lunarcoons Suzannah. Breezy is out of Sanna´s 2. litter, when Sanna was still owned by Bettina Pelkmann. Sometimes she is really feral looking, but nevertheless she has a special, lovely nature and shows the same affectionating like her mother. Breezy had two litter with Mega Attraction. She gave us really outstanding kittens. Breezy has been spayed in 2009 and lives now together with her daughter Shawana in Kulmbach.

Graeftenhof Evening Blaze

Out of the only breeding of Belushies Iroquois x Kavekats Gypsy Autumn I kept in the year 2001 the only daughter. This should be the beginn of a great love. Ivy developed to a beautiful female with unique character, which she gave to lots of her offspring. Ivy has had some outstanding litters with Tanstaafl Copper Penny and further each a wonderful litter with Mega Attraction and Koontucky Native Vision. I am very proud of this girl.  Ivy has been spayed in March 2010 and will spent the rest of her life here with me - of course...
